| January | On the 4th January Fr. James O’Reilly P.P. died in Derrylin. His remains were placed within Knockninny church. Fr. John Shannon P.P succeeded him. |
| February | On Wednesday 19th February an auction was held in Derrylin with instructions from the executors of the late Fr. James O’Reilly P.P. He left £100.00 to erect a marble altar in Derrylin church, £100.00 to Teemore church for their altar and another £100.00 for the maintenance & repair of the churches and Schools in the parish. |

| July | Belfast & Dublin Naturalist Field Clubs visited Knockninny. They climbed Knockninny Rock and inspected a Cairn which was in the process of being excavated by Mr. Thomas Plunkett, archaeologist from Enniskillen. |
