| February | The ladies of Knockninny Parish hosted a dance in the A.O.H hall. In Teemore a torch – light procession of 400 people took place in honour of Jeremiah Jordan (Nationalist candidate) A few days later, when Mr Jordan (Nationalist) was voted in for South Fermanagh, in Derrylin it was said that firearms could be heard everywhere then followed by drumming & cheering. The unionist Mr Fetherstonhaugh was also voted in and on another day, the unionist had a smaller display of firearms & small cannon. |
