| June | On 18th June, the court house and Masonic Lodge was set on fire, Telegraph wires were also cut. |

| August | At the opening of the new Sinn Fein hall at Gortaree a public meeting was announced. 7 bands attended. Police and soldiers with bayonets arrived in Lorries and announced no meeting would be allowed unless on the language movement. A meeting took place after the military left, the hall was opened and a dance held. |
| September | Fire broke out in Derrylin A.O.H hall. Not much damage was reported. |
