July1.Enrolment and attendance to Agricultural Classes in Derrylin were a record for the county.
August1.Stonepark school was one of a number of schools which attained high marks for garden produce and flowers

September1.P. McCarron (Nationalist Councillor) declared to Lisnaskea Rural Council that he was remaining neutral with regard to WWII. He declined to act on a food control committee to supervise food supplies in Derrylin at the time of war.

DecemberJohn McManus (AKM, brother of Thomas (Rathwilly) died on 19th December, was buried in Knockninny.
